info about them in order. perhaps some asks/requests could be fun if anyones curious about them... uuu
Darcy/Lyor Crawford - They/Them - Late twenties.
Darcy currently lives out of their truck and travels around Chamberlands more impoverished areas, giving out medical care and supplies they've stockpiled to the people who need it, something their family regularly did when they were a child. They have been fired from their job as IT/coder at Chamberlands archival facility after concerning behavior was exhibited when their close friend and coworker Dalton was found dead in his apartment. They are medically trained and take pride in their ability to withstand stressful situations. Darcy has problems with losing time, though it isn't something they particularly question as it was common for their family to experience the same. They can be a hopeless romantic and spend a lot of their life daydreaming, though in person they can tend to be painfully cold.
Sugar Chambers - He/Him - Old enough ;)
Sugar is Chamberlands special little guy, their mascot. He is less so a model, despite that being his job title, and moreso a real person who has been forceably turned into a mascot of commodity, he is Chamberlands Mickey Mouse, their special little touy. Due to an extremely restrictive and artificially scripted childhood Sugar has grown up into a very excitable, very spoiled manchild. He doesn't know how to handle being told no. Despite this, he craves something more in life, domesticity and love, two things he feels like he lacks. He is good at dancing, and acting, and being cute. He is also good at drinking, and screaming at people in their faces, and hiding his functional alcoholism. Sugar has no bad intentions but struggles to tolerate any sort of discomfort. He likes Dylan for the way Dylan does everything they can to make him happy and comfortable.
Dylan Wakeman - He/They - 25
Dylan has quit his job at modeling after resenting his brother for putting him into the family business extremely young and considers himself a burnout, something they are very happy about. They enjoy feeling like they have broken all of their brothers expectations. His experience in the modeling business has left him severely depressed, and he spends most of his time smoking pot and playing videogames, which Vigil allows out of guilt for the trauma that has happened. Dylan has also picked up making his own clothes, and on his twenty first birthday he threw his own catwalk with his own spin off clothing line for the Wakeman fashion CO. It did wonderfully, and is where he met Sugar. The two of them have been off and on dating since. Dylan is chronically bored, and finds himself getting involved in things they know tend to be harmful just to see what they can do or how they can manipulate the situation in their favor.
John "Joe" Doe - He/Him - 47
Not much is known publicly about John Doe specifically because he has lived off the grid for the past twenty years out of paranoia. Living in an RV that Vigil had bought for him John spends his time concocting "conspiracies" and stalking the Chambers internet activity. He has a phobia of closed in spaces and refuses to enter most buildings, and struggles to take care of himself. He and Vigil have been friends since highschool, and John has been aware of Vigils obvious crush since day one. He frequently uses this to get things out of Vigil, but struggles with the guilt of not being able to feel anything back that he feels like he should towards them. Dylan idolizes Joe, which makes him very uncomfortable.
Vigil Wakeman - They/He/She - 48
Vigil Wakeman is the owner and founder of Wakeman Fashion Co and has worked himself up from the bottom, doing anything he had to to get his name out there. Vigil has an insanely big heart that is full of an equally insane amount of anxiety that he frequently tends to over medicate, especially now that he has made the effort to become sober. Vigil is Dylans legal guardian and has recently dedicated his time to making up for the mistakes he's made in the past with prioritizing work over Dylans health, something Dylan, Joe AND Ginger all rail him on. Despite doing their best to make up for everything, they hate that Dylan has gotten himself involved with Sugar. But refuses to explain why. Vigil can come off like shes stuck in her own world, and that description wouldn't be too far off. She is a people pleaser, but her ideas of how to fix things are not always the most practical. They tend to try and avoid emotional consequences for things they've done.
Noemie Chambers - She/Her - 47
Noemie doesn't talk much to anyone anymore. Too many sweats. She has made enough people unhappy and is yet in a position where she cannot take back anything she has said. So she has decided she will be sticking to business, despite how much this upsets her son. They rarely hang out anymore, and this is adding to Sugars increased desperation for something new, somewhere else to go. Noemie used to personally work with Darcy in the archival unit out of a passion for archived media, but has since abandoned that as well. No one knows her well enough to have a problem with any of this, other than Sugar, whos complaints fall on deaf ears. Noemie hasn't been the same since her twin sister passed away in their late teens, and has since deteriorated into someone with a jaded disposition and apathetic outlook. Noemie in her childhood was very expressive, which she sees a lot in Sugar.
Ginger Brennan - She/Her - 49
A childhood friend of Vigils, Ginger has seen every part of Vigil and almost every part of Joes life and has firmly decided she refuses to let her daughter end up like the two of them, tenuously allowing Kestrel the ability to hang out with Dylan and Sugar as long as Kestrel promises to be open about it. Ginger is a strong believer in tough love and treating her children like friends and not prisoners, but this has caused her and Kestrel to struggle with boundaries between each other, either frequently overstepping them or refusing to talk to each other for days. Ginger is aware of Kestrels behaviors but feels as if they are significantly less bad than Dylans, so she allows them without judgement. Ginger tends to approach things like a big sister- always attempting to pull people under her wing, mostly because she views herself as one of the only competent people alive. Kestrel would have many words to say about that. None of them very nice.
Kestrel Brennan - They/She/He - 25
Kestrel is Dylans closest friend and someone who could easily be regarded as a "manic pixie dream girl", she frequently shoplifts and dumpster dives to satiate a desire for collecting things and expressing herself, and frequently collects things like animal bones or pieces of garbage from outside for her strange art projects she's been making with a new girl she's befriend. Kestrel is the only person who's able to keep up with Dylans more rapid moods as she herself is tightly wound, though Kestrel finds herself judging Dylan for his more obviously flagellant and performative self injurous behaviors- where as Dylan is eccentric as a form of self harm, Kestral is eccentric as a form of self expression. She is a hedonist before anything else.

Sinful Circus AU Info Dump: Abstractions!
Finally, some serious AU stuff! Told ya I'd get to it. Today's ramble is the information on how exactly Abstractions work within this AU. But first, what do they look like?
Well I used Kaufmo and Queenie as my examples, so here they are!
Tumblr media
In this, the crazy eyes are based off of the colors of the character that abstracted- and they have the vague shape of who they were
Abstraction happens when a prisoner in the real world dies, making the code that their mental was using corrupted and therefore turning against itself becoming malware as a result. Malware is the only thing that can severely affect the AI in this world. Sure, human code is glitched when coming into contact with it, but it never kills them
The reason Pomni damaged Abel so badly with the knife she had was because the Influence can corrupt and change the code of ANYTHING into malware, allowing the item to damage AI, something Pomni nor Abel were aware of when the event took place
But then what do the Abstractions do? Well, they're left to fight amongst themselves within solitary confinement- or 'the cellar' as the digital circus prisoners nicknamed it as. If one breaks enough rules, they're sent into the cellar for a little bit to get harmed by the Abstractions. Sure, they won't ever die there- but they were wish they could during that time
Characters I think that have been down there was Kaufmo before he himself abstracted, Jax because he was a LOT more reckless first coming here, and maybe Caine at some point as well. None of them talk about what went down there. You might ask why Pomni's not in this group, well that's because Abel is aware of Pomni's medical history and recorded crimes as well as her severe mental illness thanks to the coders giving him such, so he knew that she can't exactly control her actions- although she WAS still punished for such a thing
The Influencer is implied to have originally came FROM the cellar, especially with her abilities, however as to how she is the way she is isn't known just yet
Hope you like this ramble and you find the Sinful Circus AU even more interesting! I had a lot of fun coming up with this and I'll be sure to post more stuff about it soon ^^

A SHORT (NOT) MESS OF AN ESSAY ON HOW CLARKE AND BELLAMY ARE INCREDIBLY ESSENTIAL TO THEIR UNIVERSE This is a half-humorous post about the ridiculousness of the plot, but believe me it's filled to the brim with my love for it
Or, in which explaining the plot of the numbers show would get me institutionalized. I refuse to check wiki while writing this post so if I'm wrong about any of the lore and dates, just look past it. So, ~100 years before S1 we have the following happening: Becca Franco is a brilliant billionaire who is a genetic engineer, a prodigy coder, oh and a eugenics supporter who is working on a superior black-blooded race. She also creates A.L.L.I.E - an AI that does not understand that sometimes the end does not justify the means In the background, WW3 is raging, Diyoza is blowing up fascist governments, the U.S. president is a Wallace. And then there is this bombshell blonde Josephine Ada Lightbourne, with her princess haircut, who is a huge fan of Becca's. She is preparing to embark on a mission to look for inhabitable planets onboard of Eligious III. Those who are part of this mission are equipped with memory drives inside their heads for storing data about new environments. Eventually, Becca has one of those inside her head, too. Meanwhile, Diyoza and >300 other prisoners are sent on a mining mission on a bunch of rocks in space aboard Eligious I. They are put to sleep in cryopods developed by Becca's company. Meanwhile, it can be assumed that Clarke's ancestors and Bellamy's great-great-great grandpa with 4 PhDs have begun their space station jobs.
97 years later, we all know what happens, 101 people are sent to Earth on what is believed by many to be a suicidal mission. There is nothing inherently special about Clarke or Bellamy. I mean, of course they are dearly special to my heart and turn out to be incredibly special to the universe, but before I humorously describe the plot progression, I need to emphasize, they are two humans who lived all of their life on a tin can in space, and while within the context of the Ark they are special (Clarke is a "princess", of course not literally but it does not seem far fetched that she would end up becoming the Chancellor someday; Bellamy is the only big sibling on the ark which gives him personality traits unique for someone his age as far as the ark is concerned). But they are not supernatural beings, they do not have nightblood, they are not chosen ones, know what I mean? And yet:
S1: the most down-to-earth season, after that the stakes will only go up. Objective: make sure that the 102 has as many survivors as possible until the adults get down to Earth. Enemies: grounders, reapers, wildlife, elements, toxic fog (mountain men but they do not know that yet), sometimes the delinquents turn against other delinquents. Clarke uses her calculating, cunning, and caring nature as well as her medical skills to gain respect among the group. By the end of S1 she is someone that the rest of the delinquents look up to guidance. Bellamy uses his PhD in public speaking (why is he sometimes "quiet" in blarke fanfic, he is literally the yapper boyfriend) and combat prowess to initially scare people into deference, however his caring side cannot be contained for too long. By the end of S1, he is someone that the rest of the delinquents look up to for guidance. Blarke status: co-leaders who respect and inspire each other and friends who flirt at the most improper occasions
S2: the season with the finale to end all season finales trademark.
Objective: break the 47 out of mount weather; establish a truce with the grounders and claim some territory for arkadians Enemies: Mountain Men, grounders and their commandor but in a "enemy-of-my-enemy-is-my-friend kinda way, gorilla mutant
Clarke - kills her ex-boyfriend (and that is the merciful option), and becomes a de-facto chancellor due to incompetence of A/bby and K/ane; negotiates a deal with the grounder ruler - L/xa who in her head HAS A MIND DRVE WITH ALLIE 2.0 THE MORE ADVANCED VERSION OF THE AI WHO NUKED THE WORLD and also HAS THE MEMORIES OF BECCA FRANCO. Clarke kisses l/xa - the start of a long situationship with the chip.
Bellamy - goes on an extremely risky one-man undercover mission to infiltrate Mount Weather. Just so it resonates, Bellamy is not a trained spy or a navy seal or a special forces soldier. He pulls of this insane feat of disabling the acid fog without being caught(the fog machine apparently has been killing the grounders for 50+ years and is the reason why the grounders could not retaliate against MW all this time!!!! He!! really!! did!! all1! that!! without being caught AND was actively working on protecting the 47 simultaneously) Blarke status: bonded over the actual genocide of MW (including the Wallace lineage) after the grounders forced their hand by utterly betraying them. S3 - the season when things start to get out of hand Objective: claim safe territory for arkadians to live and hunt for food; develop an alliance with the grounders (who stabbed them in the back in S2); make sure the commander keeps her word that arkadians are part of the alliance; make sure Ice nation does not ascend and wipe out skycrew; keep their own people from being executed by their own people; stop Emerson; stop THE AI THAT ENDED THE WORLD WITH NUKES, stop the zombies controlled by said AI; obtain a nightblood in order to access Becca and stop the evil AI SAVE THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE
Enemies: grounders (heh I see a pattern); Pike (kinda), Queen Nia, Emerson, Roan (kinda), Ontario, ALLIE, Jaha (kinda), l/xa (kinda), Echolocation wew, just writing it down, they really did try to do everything in those 16 episodes, didn't they? ALLIE the AI that NUKED THE PLANET bats her eyelashes flirtatiously at BELLAMY while possessing Raven. Calls out Bellamy for being more devoted to Clarke than to his actual girlfriend. i need to emphasise that THE AI THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENDING THE CIVILATION IS INVESTED IN BELLARKE RELATIONSHIP DRAMA.
Clarke enters the chip inhabited by her lover and by Becca Franco. Has a conversation with both ALLIE and Becca. The memory of 'together" gives her strength to pull the kill switch.
ALLIE: so essentially in 6 month is the last day of humanity because of the second nuclear apocalypse incoming,
Clarke: don't worry, me and Bellamy will figure something out :))) together :))) (with Raven ofc, I mean no erasure to my girl, its just this post is focusing on bellarke) ALLIE: :O Im exhausted Ive already been writing out this post for an hour, Im glad I'm halfway through
Blarke status: reunited and it feels so good. Saved the world (but not quite yet) S4 - the calamity season
Objective: Save the human race (again)
Enemies: Primefiya, Ice Nation (kinda), Ilian (for a hot second), ALLIE 1.0 (for Raven) Uncle Jaha sets up Blarke on a day trip in order to feed them some lore that will be relevant later. Bellamy picks up a coin with the 'from the ashes we will rise" written on it, which will prompt Jaha to correlate this with the grounder prayer which will make him ask the flaimkeeper about it which will lead them to check the temple which will lead them to discovering the bunker. So I think that all the ppl who found salvation inside the bunker owe their life to Bellamy in a round about way.
Clarke once again negotiates an alliance with the grounders. Acts as de facto chancellor. Bellarke act as the leaders of the sky people as god intended. Clarke becomes a nightblood (this will be extra relevant in S6) O*tavia is credited with something that was Clarke's idea in the first place and would be impossible without Bellamy's help. So everyone say thank you Clarke and Bellamy for saving us :) Blarke status: This voice mail is currently full. S5: We are not pretanding that the apocalypse could have possibly happened around 2050 anymore considering the technology available
Objective: Save the human race and Earth. Try not to destroy the only inhabitable spot of land left on the planet challenge.
Enemies: Paxton "Graveyard" McCreary, Diyoza (kinda), rest of the miner's crew, Kara Cooper, Octonian, Miller (for a minute) Diyoza, the former navy seal corporal turned domestic anti-fascist terrorist back from 106 years ago is very invested in the Bellarke relationship status. Bellamy makes a deal with Diyoza & her army by having a galaxy brain and keeping that Best Dad in the Universe mug - truly an iconic behavior. This leads to a) saving Clarke and Madi (a.k.a his wife and daughter uwu) b) opening the bunker, which apparently the 814 left in the bunker had no prospects of opening so please say thank you Bellamy fast forward to the end - Clarke and Bellamy are off to ANOTHER FUCKING PLANET?!?! and making decision regarding the fate of the human race again as God intended. Also Marper got to be happy and grow old together <3 miss them though. Blarke status: they got sick of their world-wide fame and now are onto their galaxy-wide fame. They have 2 kids. S6 - The most romantic 10 episodes of television brought to screen I think Objective: explore Alpha; find a safe territory for their people; make alliances with Sanctum; uh oh what are those people up to???; sci-fi horror intensifies; SAVE CLARKE; and the rest of sky crew I guess; keep an eye on Jordan and Madi (objective failed); act on feelings (objective failed)
Okay, so. We have this awesome chick Josephine and she and neuroscientist Gabriel are sooooo in love. They are quite crazy about each other. Josie is very flirtatious but you can tell that what she and Gabriel have is something special. But then BUT THEN Josie is murdered by her own dad while he was having an environment-driven psychotic episode. and Gabriel is NOT READY TO LET HER GO HE LOVES HER OKAY. And her dad, Russel, obviously feels guilty as fuck and cannot live with himself. So Russel and Gabriel work on defeating death. Yea you heard that right, we are dealing with immortality now. After decades of inhumane experiments they succeed in bringing Josie back in some innocent girl';s body. How? Because Josie was backed up on a mindrive, that was developed by Becca. You know, the same Becca that caused the world to end the first time and inadvertently caused the plot of the whole show to happen. The same Becca whose AI was very invested in Bellarke relationship drama. I digress
Fast forward ~250 years later, Josie is a bubbly psychopath (she sad endearingly). And Gabriel actually noped the fuck out of this eugenics oblation camp 70 years prior. This caused Josie to become even colder and more ruthless, she doubled down after she realised that the love of her life had become disgusted by her. She does no longer remember how it feels to be loved or how did it feel TO love someone as she did Gabriel. One day, She wakes up and discovered she was put in the body of the iconic Clarke "Ferrari" Griffin herself. She thinks she will get away with the (not successful) murder of her because she has a lot to offer her friends in return, namely immortality, territory, and all the intel about the planet they had gathered. BUT BUT BUT she did not expect one Bellamy Goddamn Blake a.k.a the love of Clarke's life.
He is the first one to realize that Clarke is not Clarke. He is the first one to realize that Clarke is ALIVE. By seeing Clarke memories Josie knows that what would be likely to make Clarke stop trying is the belief that Bellamy gave up on her. BITCH YOU THOUGHT
So she experiences Bellamy DRAGGING her on forest floor and being gentle with her body at the same time because it is CLARKE's body. While they are in a cave she teases him about his relationship with Clarke, then reminisces about Gabriel and gets all sappy, and then by taunting Bellamy she hears "I wont let you die" and let me tell you SHE'S SHOOk. SHE FORGOT. SHE FORGOT YOU COULD LOVE SOMEONE SO MUCH. SHE FORGOT YOU COULD BE LOVED SO MUCH. IT PROBABLY REMINDS HER OF HOW GABRIEL ONCE WAS DEVOTED TO HER AND T SHAKES HER TO THE CORE.
Fast forward to Bellamy showing up Just In Time, undercover (as is his favorite past time) Josie says mockingly "because of course it s" BUT YOU KNOW SHE'S IMPRESSED. Then, The Tent, o man, THE TENT. Josie, probably slowly accepting that this might really be her end, admits to Bellamy in the softest voice "she was right to depend on you" And then she pleads with Gabriel and it's heartbreaking because yes she's a villain, she's a eugenist, a psycho, even simply Evil, probably BUT ONCE SHE WAS A BRILLIANT, RESOURCEFUL, CONFIDENT YOUNG WOMAN LIKE CLARKE. AND SHE JUST WANTED TO GROW OLD WITH GABRIEL. AND GABRIEL TELLS HER I LOVED YOU FOR CENTURIES AND BELLAMY'S FACE AND JOSIE GOT TO HAVE TO SPEND HER LAST MOMENTS WITH GABRIEL THANKS TO BELLAMY AND CLARKE AND IT GIVES HER STRENGTH TO KIND OF ACCEPT DEATH, PERMANENTLY "IN THIS BIG SLEEP, WHAT DREAMS MAY COME" "I HAVE TO LET YOU GO NOW" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA NA DTHEn AND THEN WE HAVE THE CPR SCENE "I NEED YOU" "YOU'RE A FIGHTER SO GET UP AND FIGHT" "I AM NOT LETTING YOU GO" MOUTH TO MOUTH, TRUE LOVE"S KISS And Clarke looks at him like he hung the stars in the sky. Bellamy looks at her like he is the only star in his sky. And they save their friends. again. And they Do Better.
Cause they are better. together. And they are SO.POWERFUL
Their relationship literally transcends centuries and planets. Wow this is long. My legs are tired from sitting in one position. Who made it till the end?

Life has been…wild lately.
04/14/25
Dear Diary,
My husband cheated on me and I found out after I had our son in 2023. Since then, I have been trying to rebuild my trust with him. But I am struggling. In 2024, I found a bunch of photos and videos on his phone of other women, so just when I thought I was rebuilding that broken trust, it was completely torn back down.
It’s 2025 now, and I still cannot get past the trust issue…it is, after all, a basic foundation of a relationship. I feel that I am ready to move on, but I am a stay at home mom and we have a lot tangled up in life and finances. So it is not as simple as just leaving.
I am in school right now, going to graduate with my associate’s degree this may, 2025! And after that, I am enrolling in a certification program through the college to become a certified medical coder/biller. After I finish and am able to get a career, I can support myself and my children and our house payment, car payment, etc. but as of now, I feel rather alone and stuck.
I started the process and am going to talk to a lawyer, so we will see how that goes. This is all unknown to me and I strongly dislike the unknown.
I married him because I trusted him, loved him and wanted to build our little life together and whenever he broke that, I truly shattered.
Now I am angry that I have to go through all of this, that I don’t get the life that I was working so hard to have.

Employment Struggles
I'm going to do something shocking and use this as an actual blog post.
I am SO sick and tired of applying to jobs, only to be ignored completed, or even worse the interview is scheduled and then the role is filled before I can interview. Today the interview was cancelled a minute before the scheduled time. Then the person who would be interviewing me ignored me on email and phone.
I am mentally exhausted. I am broke all the time. I don't get unemployment because I've never been eligible for it. The only good thing about this is that I have full healthcare coverage and food stamps.
I am a medical assistant with experience, I am a certified professional medical coder with internship experience, I have experience in retail, yet I cannot even get a call back from McDonald's, let alone a good healthcare job.
I've considered becoming a behavioral health tech, but I just truly don't want to be hit/bitten at work. I also couldn't deal with the families of children disagreeing with a preset therapy plan while I'm physically stuck in their home. The other options I was looking at was security, or 911 dispatcher, but dispatch classes are few and far between into next year, and also expensive. And security can be dangerous.
At this point, being 30 and just defeated by how unsuccessful I am in life, I am considering going to a trade school. Like welding. Or automobile tech or something that is actually in demand. There is literally no other options for me and I'm literally five minutes outside of San Francisco. I am mildly considering an IT course, but tech is so unstable and unsafe while also being over saturated right now and I don't trust it. But then, you have to deal with stereotypical personalities in 'conservative' trade jobs too. The other risk is I spend time and money doing a trade school and then no one wants to hire me (like I've done twice now). I don't know what to do.
The trades I'm considering:
Electrician
Welder (part of machinist trade) (honestly this is most appealing to me)
Aircraft Maintenance Technology (Can't hurt with SFO next to me and their planes literally falling to pieces in the sky every week)
HVAC (still don't really understand what this job even is)
The guilt I'm feeling is that I am about to finish my BA in psychology next month, and I'm waiting to hear back from the two colleges I applied to for a Master's to become a therapist. If I get in to my top choice, that's $60k+ I'll need to fund. If I get into the state school, which is slim, that's likely covered by school loans, but I'll still want to make some kind of income for three years I'm in the program. If I don't get into either program, then my last choices are: work while getting med school pre-reqs done, or work while doing an online MFT program (which I really don't want to do an online only program but if it's accredited at the end of the day I don't care.) The online only school would also be $60k+ so I'd need to work regardless.
I'm feeling guilty too because I've never been the fanartist who can drop a new print and have thousands of followers want it. I can't make money that way. Commissions have always been my most lucrative offering as an artist, but it's often mentally very taxing. It's also unstable. I don't have a lot of followers to drum up a successful pays-my-rent-every-month Patreon, and with the way of algorithms and sites are these days, I likely won't ever. I'm not trying to complain for sympathy, but this is just how it's been for me.
I know it's stupid to feel guilty for things like this, but I just am in this nebulous space between being apparently unemployable while also not being unemployable enough to receive livable benefits while continuing job hunting.
So I guess I'm looking for opinions on trade professions. I'm trans, but I pass masc in public save for my voice really. I also am not the kind of person to wear pride pins or color my hair rainbow, which would draw attention that way. I'm not too concerned about mean people in a trade job, because honestly the rudest people I've worked with have been in healthcare anyway. And a trade job would mean no customer service positions/working with my hands, which requires little mental gymnastics.
Also pointless, but true, I keep thinking of Debbie in Shameless getting her welder certification after becoming a teen parent.
I guess the takeaway here is, I'm more willing to be hurt on the job by a machine mistake on my part than I am willing to be hurt by other people assaulting me (very real in healthcare jobs/security) while working.
What do you think?

Quote
In conversations with colleagues, fellow entrepreneurs and even musicians over the past decade, Daniel Ek would often abruptly shift the subject to something that really bugged him: health care. “I was like adamant to fix it,” Mr. Ek, the Spotify chief, told DealBook. He saw the industry as a bloated and inefficient colossus in need of disrupting. The problem: Mr. Ek had neither a plan, nor the time or money to do much about it. He was busy taking on Apple, YouTube and Amazon Music in the streaming wars. In his spare time, Mr. Ek pored over medical journals. And he routinely measured his vital statistics with a Fitbit, an Apple Watch or Wii Fit tracker — the more data, the better to see how his body held up against the rigors of running a business. He thought that such tracking might hold some clue to living longer and healthier. “I was just toying around with ideas in health care,” he added. That all changed in 2018. Spotify went public, making Mr. Ek a billionaire. It was time to turn his side focus into his next venture, he decided. He knew whom to contact: Hjalmar Nilsonne, a Swedish tech entrepreneur who Mr. Ek had met the year prior at the Brilliant Minds event, an annual gathering Mr. Ek started. Mr. Nilsonne was passionate about upending the status quo, too. At the time, he was focused on climate change and his start-up, Watty, which aimed to strip waste out of the energy grid. At first, Mr. Nilsonne rebuffed Mr. Ek’s proposition. But Mr. Ek eventually won him over. (It helped that Watty was running out of money, and it was eventually sold to a German company.) Mr. Ek, a former computer coder, and Mr. Nilsonne, an engineer, zeroed in on building a better diagnostic tool. Their aim: disease prevention, and prolonging life. The company they founded, Neko Health, opened its doors in Stockholm last year, and it is set to open in London, its second market, this summer. Longevity has become a kind of obsession with tech moguls. Sam Altman, Peter Thiel and Mr. Ek are among those who believe bright ideas, the right tech and bundles of capital can help humans live longer. Mr. Ek, 41, has invested millions personally and through his investment firm, Prima Materia, in such start-ups around Europe. Neko Health is the only one for which he’s taken the title of founder.
Spotify’s Daniel Ek Wants to Democratize Full-Body Scans - The New York Times
Imagine being so rich and able-bodied you can’t imagine inventing a health panopticon will have any unintended consequences.
(Admittedly, being a longevity obsessed billionaire who owns a company called “Prima Materia” would seem unbelievable in a JRPG, but we’re in the worst cyberpunk now,)

File: Tron
SCP: ACH
Code Name: Site-GRID
Object Class: Thamuiel
Special Containment Procedures: The entirety of SCP-ACH is contained within Site-AQ. All the devices that make up SCP-ACH is contained within a 20x60 meter server room dedicated entirely to its functions. The room is monitored by a Level 3 Surveillance A.I. and guarded ten Foundation security units with six in the room and four outsides. These guards are only armed with batons and to be trained in Foundation hand to hand combat styles to minimize potential damage to SCP-ACH. In order for Foundation staff to use SCP-ACH to enter "Site-GRID" they must first be approved by the Site Director of Site-AQ or requested by the Site Director of Site-GRID.
Description: SCP-ACH is comprised of a computer labeled SCP-ACH-1 and a strange device capable of digitalizing anything into a virtual world and vice versa labeled SCP-ACH-2. Even before its containment SCP-ACH-1 was able to hold enough data to maintain its own virtual world. Technically one just needs SCP-ACH-1 to interact with said world but with SCP-ACH-2 a person can enter the world as if it was a new reality. Unfortunately, Foundation researchers can't understand how SCP-ACH-2 transports objects and people between worlds. All we know is that when activated it works instantaneously and thankfully does not change the biology of living organisms and has no physical or mental side effects.
Once something or someone is digitalized, they are instantly teleported into the virtual world within SCP-ACH-1 which is labeled as SCP-ACH-3. SCP-ACH-3 is a world made entirely out of coded data and is almost as large as the country of Russia. Though after being connected to Foundation servers when it was contained, it has since expanded to match the size of earth. Though even since the beginning, SCP-ACH-3 was and still is populated by two types of entities. These entities are known as SCP-ACH-3.1 instances and SCP-ACH-3.2 instances.
SCP-ACH-3.1 or "programs" as they call themselves are human looking entities made of the same coded material as the rest of the buildings and land mass as SCP-ACH-3 itself. Each program can be created by SCP-ACH-1 with the right command codes and given any kind of purpose or job. The most common jobs are medic, teacher, guard, builder, engineer, and program designer. Of course, like a regular program they can be edited to have new jobs and skill sets but doing so has the side effect of degrading their personality. Programs should not be confused as AI as they each have their own personalities and will. This allows them to have various degrees of competence in their assigned jobs as well as their own unique desires and hobbies. It's even possible for some programs to learn the coding of their world and thus eventually be able to perform amazing feats that only Foundation staff who understand coding can accomplish.
Each program has a disc on their back that act as both a basic weapon to slice enemies as well as a data core of their very being. It is this very disk that can allow a Foundation coder or even other programs to edit one another. This can range from minor body modifications, ability and skill editing, as well as changing job and personality traits. Though the more drastic the edits the greater chances the overall code can be degraded. If this disk is ever lost, their memories and personality will start to degrade until they become no different to rampaging psychopaths. Should a Program suffer any physical damage, the damaged areas will crack into tiny crystal-like cubes, lethal strikes lead to the complete disintegration of a Program. Though if the right code is input into the disk, they can be healed or even resurrected. The disk is always the only thing that remains after a Program dies, so long as the disk isn't destroyed, a program can be saved.
SCP-ACH-3.2 instances or "ISOs" are similar in appearance and function as programs. The main difference is the more randomized coding patterns on their bodies, and that they aren't assigned jobs. This is mainly because ISO's can't be created by command codes form SCP-ACH-1 like programs are, they were just born within SCP-ACH-3. Most shockingly, ISOs though similar in appearance to programs, have digitally more advanced algorithms in their codes, allowing nearly limitless possibilities. Foundation researchers and coders are still trying to make sense of their code but theoretically they could hold the potential to granting new scientific discoveries in all fields, centuries ahead of our own. Essential ISO's have the same growth potential as a Level 4 Artificial Intelligence, this alone makes them extremely valuable but just as dangerous.
Unfortunately, because of their complex algorithmic make up ISO's are prone to spontaneous glitches and programing mutations that may lead to corruption. It is also possible for Programs to suffer this, but the chances are 0.005% unlike the 0.5% chance for ISOs. Should this corruption happen, the result will be an SCP-ACH-3.3 instance.
SCP-ACH-3.3 instances or "Viruses" as they are called, are wayward programs that corrupt all around them with a code virus that either destroys or distorts all that it touches. Viruses can infect both programs and ISOs alike turning them into "The Infected" which act as extension of the Virus. Unfortunately, as a Virus infects more and more, they slowly grow stronger, faster, and smarter; even able to manifest objects and weapons at will. Granted the chances of a Virus manifesting is low, but they can become a massive threat if not dealt with quickly.
Unfortunately, Viruses are not the only issue as Programs and ISO within SCP-ACH-3 are often in conflict due to their difference in code. Programable Vehicles and Tools exist in SCP-ACH-3 for Programs and ISO to use for commercial and working purposes. However, in recent years some have found ways to either create weapons or reprogram and weaponize their tools and vehicles, further feeding the conflict. Mobile Task Force Zeus-4 "Grid Hackers" is the security force of Site-GRID as well as the main police force of SCP-ACH-3. They are comprised of both Foundation security units and Foundation made programs, responsible for maintaining order in SCP-ACH-3 under Foundation law.
SCP-ACH as a whole was discovered back in 1982 when MTF Command detected a massive influx of power and data being absorbed into the servers of the main building of the ENCOM Corporation. Mobile Task Force Pi-1 "City Slickers" quickly locked down the building with cover story being the company was under attack by a cyber terrorist. In reality all the data of the world was being absorbed by an entity that resided within SCP-ACH known as the Master Control Program. However, once MTF Pi-1 made it to the location of SCP-ACH the Master Control Program was already defeated by Person of Interest: Kevin Flynn. Everyone involved was quickly amnestied of SCP-ACH's existence as it was taken into Foundation custody. Kevin Flynn soon became the new CEO after it was revealed the previous CEO only obtained his status through plagiarizing Flynn's work. Kevin Flynn as well as the rest of ENCOM, is monitored by the Foundation to this day as they created SCP-ACH, all-be-it indirectly.
Once SCP-ACH-3 was discovered it was decided to have Foundation presence inside, leading to the creation of Site-GRID. This led to the Foundation gaining an influx of knowledge and technological advancement thanks to Programs and ISOs being employed by the Foundation. Programs tend to revere Foundation staff as demi-gods while ISOs treat Foundation staff as equals instead. Unfortunately, this is one of the factors that lead to racial conflict between the two. The O5 Council and the Site Director have expressed that this is not of the Foundation's concern and MTF Zues-4 will do the bare minimum to maintain peace.
Testing has shown that it it's possible to manifest objects, weapons, vehicles and even entities within SCP-ACH-3 out into the real world. However, the technology within SCP-ACH-3 is technologically anomalous that bringing them into the real world is a complete violation of Protocol "Censorship". As such weapons and entities created within SCP-ACH-3 are to never enter the real world. The only exceptions be when the Foundation is forced to enact either Protocol "Scorched Earth", "No Liberty", or "Final Order". SCP-ACH-3 can also be used as a safety bunker should an XK-Class End of the World Scenario occur.

Is Animation a Good Career in 2025? Key Trends and Insights
Tumblr media
In 2025, animation is no longer just the domain of cartoons and children’s entertainment. It has evolved into a powerful medium used across a range of industries—from entertainment and advertising to education, gaming, healthcare, and even architecture. With digital experiences becoming the backbone of communication and storytelling, animation has firmly cemented its role as a compelling career choice. But is it a good career in 2025? Let’s dive into the real trends shaping this creative and ever-evolving field.
Rising Demand Across Industries
The first—and perhaps most obvious—indicator of animation's growing value is the increasing demand for content. Global consumption of visual media has surged, fueled by streaming platforms, social media, mobile apps, and virtual experiences. Animation, especially 2D and 3D formats, is everywhere: in educational explainer videos, marketing reels, YouTube channels, AR/VR experiences, and immersive metaverse projects.
Even the corporate world is embracing animation. Businesses are now using motion graphics to simplify complex concepts in training modules, pitches, and client presentations. Meanwhile, industries like healthcare are investing in animated visuals to make medical procedures understandable for patients and trainees alike.
According to a report by MarketsandMarkets, the global animation market is expected to reach over $640 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of over 5%. This demand is not only for final content but also for skilled professionals who can conceptualize, design, and execute animated visuals.
Career Versatility and Specializations
Another reason animation is thriving as a career path is the variety of specializations it offers. You don't have to be a traditional animator to enter the field. Some of the most in-demand roles in 2025 include:
Character Designer
Storyboard Artist
2D/3D Animator
Compositing Artist
VFX Specialist
Motion Graphics Designer
UI/UX Animator
This diversity of roles makes animation accessible for different skillsets—from illustrators and designers to coders and storytellers. As animation pipelines become more complex, studios are actively hiring for niche roles, opening more doors for aspiring creatives.
The AI and Tech Disruption: Threat or Opportunity?
A lot has been said about artificial intelligence changing the creative landscape, and the animation industry is no exception. Tools like Runway ML, Adobe Firefly, and Kaiber are making it easier to generate visuals and even full sequences with minimal manual input.
But rather than being a threat, AI in animation is becoming an enabler. It automates repetitive tasks—like lip-syncing, in-betweening, or background generation—freeing up animators to focus on creativity and storytelling. Those who embrace AI tools are not being replaced; they’re becoming more efficient, versatile, and competitive.
Recent projects from major studios like Pixar and Netflix are even integrating AI into their production workflows to speed up rendering and simulate physics-based animations.
So, in 2025, the key is adaptability. The best animators are not just artists—they are creative technologists.
Education and Skill-Building Matter More Than Ever
While the industry is growing, it's also becoming more competitive. Studios expect candidates to come equipped not just with creativity but also technical know-how. Proficiency in software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, and Cinema 4D is often a baseline requirement.
For those wondering how to get started, structured learning can make a difference. Enrolling in a recognized 2D animation course bengaluru or any similar hands-on program can provide not only skills but also industry exposure, project-based training, and professional mentorship—components that are difficult to gain through self-study alone.
Educational institutions are also updating their curricula to include newer aspects like VR/AR integration, AI-assisted animation, and real-time rendering with game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. As recruiters increasingly look for candidates who can wear multiple hats, a strong educational foundation gives aspiring animators an undeniable edge.
India’s Role in the Global Animation Scene
India has always been a hub for outsourced animation, especially for international studios in the US, Canada, and Japan. But things are changing in 2025. The country is no longer just an execution partner—it is now a creative leader.
Homegrown content, from animated films and web series to indie games, is gaining traction on global platforms. Shows like Mighty Little Bheem on Netflix or original IPs developed by studios like Green Gold and Paperboat are not just entertaining Indian audiences—they're drawing global viewership.
Additionally, India’s gaming and edtech sectors are heavily investing in animated content, creating more jobs and driving innovation locally.
This surge in demand has led to new studios cropping up across the country and established ones expanding their teams. The need for animators, modelers, and VFX artists is at an all-time high—and is expected to continue rising through the decade.
Freelancing and Remote Work: A Boon for Creatives
The shift towards remote work has benefited animators in a big way. Freelancers can now collaborate with global studios without relocating. Platforms like Upwork, Freelancer, and even Behance are brimming with animation gigs ranging from 10-second explainer videos to full-length music videos and ads.
For many animators, this flexibility is the best part of the job. You can build a personal brand, work with international clients, and even start your own studio or YouTube channel. As long as your work stands out, geography is no longer a limitation.
In fact, some of the most influential animators in 2025 are independent creators who have turned their personal styles into full-blown digital brands.
What Recruiters and Studios Look for in 2025
Recruiters are now prioritizing portfolios over degrees. A strong showreel that highlights versatility, storytelling ability, and software skills is worth more than a certificate alone. Here’s what studios are actively looking for in 2025:
An understanding of both 2D and 3D techniques
Clear storytelling and visual communication
Knowledge of real-time animation pipelines
Collaborative work and communication skills
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools
A willingness to keep learning and adapting
If you’re an aspiring animator, your learning never stops. Even seasoned professionals are upgrading their skill sets to keep up with evolving tools and industry expectations.
Conclusion: Is Animation a Good Career in 2025?
The answer is a resounding yes. Animation in 2025 is not just about creating characters or drawing frames. It’s about communicating ideas, building immersive worlds, and solving real-world problems with motion and design.
As cities across India contribute to this creative boom, Bengaluru, in particular, stands out with its growing ecosystem of animation studios, gaming companies, and edtech startups. For those seeking structured guidance and technical excellence, enrolling in an Animation course in Bengaluru can provide the right blend of mentorship, software training, and industry exposure.
With the right mix of creativity, adaptability, and technical know-how, animation isn’t just a viable career in 2025—it’s one of the most exciting, dynamic, and fulfilling paths for today’s visual storytellers.

How Professional Medical Billing Services Help Minimize Revenue Leakage
Revenue leakage is a silent threat for many healthcare practices, especially small and independent providers. Often hidden in denied claims, delayed reimbursements, or improper coding, revenue loss can accumulate over time and significantly impact financial performance. This is where medical billing services become an essential part of a sustainable healthcare operation.
Tumblr media
Revenue cycle disruptions usually stem from preventable administrative oversights. These can include issues such as delayed claims submission, incorrect patient details, outdated credentialing, or billing errors. When left unaddressed, they create a compounding effect that reduces revenue potential and disrupts cash flow.
Professional support from a medical billing and credentialing company like Cosmos Medical Management (CMM) ensures that every step of the billing process is handled with precision and consistency. CMM specializes in resolving revenue leakage by aligning credentialing with clean claim submission, accurate coding, and timely follow-ups. This comprehensive approach is vital for practices that cannot afford financial instability.
Moreover, credentialing errors often prevent providers from billing insurance companies altogether. As a trusted medical credentialing and billing company, CMM helps avoid such bottlenecks by maintaining accurate provider profiles and ensuring timely payer enrollment. By connecting credentialing with billing operations, CMM helps practices streamline approvals and avoid unnecessary claim denials.
CMM also functions as a full-service medical billing credentialing and coding company, offering integrated solutions for code validation, reimbursement optimization, and payer compliance. Their team of certified coders ensures that each claim is submitted with the highest level of accuracy, reducing the likelihood of audit flags or payer rejections.
Ultimately, minimizing revenue leakage is not just about fixing one part of the process—it requires a unified system. With the right partner, small practices can transform their billing departments into efficient engines for financial growth. Cosmos Medical Management brings the expertise, tools, and oversight needed to help practices plug the gaps and grow sustainably.

Week 12 | Crowdsourcing in Times of Crisis
🌀✨ Crowdsourcing in Times of Crisis: When the Internet Becomes a Lifeline ✨🌀
Hey Tumblr fam 💬💻 quick question: Have you ever retweeted an emergency post, shared a missing persons alert, or donated to a mutual aid fund after a disaster? Then, congrats, you’ve been part of the powerful machine we call crowdsourcing during a crisis. 💥
Let’s talk about how ordinary people like us have the power to become first responders, data analysts, and information hubs all from behind our screens.
Tumblr media
🧠 What Even Is Crowdsourcing in Crisis?
Crowdsourcing in crisis is when large groups of people contribute knowledge, skills, or resources to help respond to an emergency, whether it's a flood, fire, pandemic, or political uprising (Howe, 2006). Think of it as decentralized teamwork on a global scale.
During disasters, speed matters. Traditional systems like governments or big aid organizations often move too slowly. That’s where digital communities like Tumblr, Twitter/X, Reddit, and WhatsApp groups step in to fill the gaps (Starbird, 2011). Whether it’s creating Google Docs for protest safety tips or translating emergency info, the crowd gets things done.
This Happens All The Time
Lemme show you:
Haiti Earthquake (2010): Volunteers used open-source mapping tools like Ushahidi to track damage and coordinate rescue. Locals texted their needs; coders mapped them. Lives were saved (Meier, 2015).
COVID-19: Remember all the community spreadsheets tracking symptoms, cases, and resources? Or how mutual aid groups coordinated food deliveries through Instagram DMs? That wasn’t a government plan that was us, organizing ourselves when official systems failed (Costanza-Chock, 2020).
Palestinian Territories & Ukraine: Civilians on Telegram and TikTok have been sharing bomb shelter locations, medical supply needs, and real-time footage. Crowdsourced updates have become vital counter-narratives to state propaganda (Citron and Chesney, 2019).
Tumblr media
Why It Works (and Sometimes Doesn’t)
Crowdsourcing works because it’s fast, flexible, and people-powered. No bureaucratic nonsense. But it’s not perfect. Disinfo can spread just as fast. We’ve all seen fake “help needed” posts or scams disguised as aid links (Oh et al., 2013). That’s why digital literacy and community vetting are key.
But platforms? They’re not always on our side. Algorithms can bury vital posts and amplify panic. And let’s not forget that authoritarian governments often monitor or even shut down crowdsourced movements to keep control (Tufekci, 2017).

How Outsourcing DME Billing Improves Financial and Clinical Efficiency for Providers?
Tumblr media
Are you a Durable Medical Equipment provider looking for financial viability and operational success?
If yes, adequate and correct DME billing is the key to such success.
Accurate DME billing and coding indicate timely and error-free claims processing. Such processing not only ensures timely healthcare reimbursements but also minimizes loss of revenue, keeping the practice financially sound.
But undertaking the DME billing and coding operations is extremely complicated and intricate. It requires stringent adherence to the constantly changing insurance policies and coding guidelines with little scope for error. Even a single mistake can result in denied claims and delayed payments.
Thereby, managing DME billing and coding in-house usually proves overwhelming for DME providers, requiring significant expertise, personnel, and constant training. This time-consuming process diverts attention from core clinical functions, eventually worsening the quality of patient care. Due to this, outsourcing DME billing services is still the only feasible solution to overcome these obstacles.
Considering such a need, let us look in-depth at how DME billing outsourcing enhances financial and clinical effectiveness for medical providers.
Outsource DME Billing for Streamlining Care and Cash Flow
Providers can eliminate significant administrative work, lower costly mistakes, and speed up reimbursements by outsourcing billing activities to specialists. The following are the benefits of outsourcing DME billing and coding:
Clinical Benefits
Outsourcing billing services optimizes workflow and enables a better quality of care experience in the following ways:
Improved Patient Experience
Proper billing and clear communication regarding charges minimize patient confusion and financial anxiety. Outsourced DME billing and coding services guarantee correct billing from the beginning, resulting in fewer conflicts and delays. When DME billing is efficient, patients are more likely to be satisfied with their care and return for follow-up services.
Focus on Patient Care
When DME billing is outsourced, the medical providers are in a better position to focus all their attention on patient care instead of concentrating on the administrative functions. This leads to better healthcare treatment results and builds stronger provider-patient relationships. Therefore, an in-house team such as doctors, nurses, and alike will be able to manage their time more productively, generating a more responsive and compassionate care environment.
Enhanced Compliance
Billing experts are trained to comply with all the latest healthcare regulations and payer policies. In this way, the provider is continuously in alignment with shifting standards, thereby minimizing legal exposure. Compliance also enhances patient trust, demonstrating a concern for ethical practices and honest reporting of care and billing.
Improved Scalable Solutions
Outsourcing billing to experts indicates the scope for flexibility in adjusting billing and coding services as per the needs of DME providers. In fact, the billing services can be enhanced and tailored depending on whether you wish to open a new office, expand the services, or handle seasonal changes. This flexibility helps the DME providers to grow and makes sure that the billing process never becomes an obstacle during times of change.
Financial Benefits
Outsourcing DME billing and coding allows healthcare providers to comply with regulations from payers and ensures financial operations are accurate and efficient in the following manner:
Reduced Audit Risk
Professional DME billers and coders remain up-to-date on the most recent healthcare regulations and payer policies. They confirm that all claims are compliant and complete, reducing the likelihood of errors leading to audits. Their compliance-oriented procedures also preserve precise documentation and coding, safeguarding the provider from financial and legal penalties.
Increased Revenue
Professional DME billing companies guarantee precise coding and prompt claim submission, eliminating rejections and denials. As a result, DME providers enjoy the benefits of faster payments with maximized revenue collection. They also track payer trends and refine billing strategies to reap every dollar due. This regular revenue stream makes the practice's financial health more robust.
Cost Savings
DME billing outsourcing lowers the cost of hiring, training, and keeping in-house billing personnel. It also avoids the need to purchase expensive billing software and IT infrastructure. The money saved can then be channelized into enhancing clinical services or expanding patient programs. As a result, this approach makes the practice financially stronger in the long term.
Access to Advanced Technology
The majority of outsourced DME billing companies utilize advanced billing software and analytic tools. These tools enable tracking of performance, identification of revenue trends, and better accuracy. Real-time reporting also gives visibility to the billing cycle and reveals bottlenecks. Furthermore, providers gain benefits through tools that assist in forecasting and financial planning.
The Future of DME Billing Outsourcing
The future of outsourcing DME billing and coding services to experts is very promising, with increased demand due to the need for quicker and more precise billing. Healthcare providers will increasingly depend on outsourcing partners that provide end-to-end revenue cycle management and advanced tools, such as real-time tracking and reporting.
Not only this but automation (including artificial intelligence) will also be used to quicken billing, minimize errors, and enhance reimbursements. Simultaneously, changing healthcare rules will make working with billing experts who stay updated and ensure compliance even more critical. Outsourcing will save providers time and money and allow them to concentrate on caring for patients.
